Why is this change happening?
The President's Executive Order 13985 of January 20, 2021 “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government” expands the aperture for programming that can fulfill this mission by using small businesses, which targets support to areas with the most need.
At U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Small Disadvantaged Utilization in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) we use technology and the power of Teamwork to discover new ways to disrupt outdated procurement ecosystems infusing them with transformative tactics to help small businesses located in underserved communities thrive throughout every stage of the procurement lifecycle.
Is your small business ready to reimagine procurement requirements fulfillment?
The Treasury OSDBU seeks to expand contractual awards to small businesses located in underserved communities to propel Executive Order 13985 and include Historically Black Colleges and Universities & Minority Serving Institutions. We welcome the opportunity to partner with these academic institutions. This innovative procurement practice was established to aid the Treasury Department exceed our overall small business prime and small business setaside goals for Treasury's buying activities.
We want to provide the small business community, HBCUs and MSIs with the best user experience, by offering Real-Time access to information. Moving to this platform allows us the opportunity to not only give you a modern, easy to navigate portal experience, but also offers the flexibility to adjust to ever-changing markets.
Several things to know about this change:
ACCESS: To access the new portal, you will need to create new login credentials and create an ID.ME account. For existing users, please use the email address associated with your eCS profile. Instructions on how to create an ID.ME account can be found here.
NEW LOOK: Your portal home page will have a new look. A tutorial assisting with navigating and using the new site is available on the portal.
NO DATA LOSS: We will migrate your existing eCS to the new platform so you will continue to see your eCS.
